Felt gifts for girls: Blingy Heart Hair Clip Tutorial &GIVEAWAY!

Tonight I made some fun blinged out hair clips! 

And now Im going to share a quick tutorial with you as well as give one away to one of you!! :)

Supplies:

Felt

Plastic gem rhinestones

scissors and glue!

alligator clip

I didnt go picture happy with this one.. since its pretty easy.

Cut your heart shapes out, glue them together.

The decide on the patter you want to use with your gems, and glue them on! 

Easy peasy.

To make it more study, I glued it again to another piece of felt. 

Then cut to shape.

Attach to alligator clip

And that is it! You can make with or without a scalloped edge! :)

Here I am with one in my hair. :) I LOVE it.

Gift presents: Felt Flower Ponytail Binder tutorial

My daughter wanted something red to wear in her hair on the 4th of July.  So, I dug through my bin of hair accessories and found this felt flower.  I had made a bunch of these in various colors and gave some away as Christmas gifts.

how to make this Autumn Bloom Belt.  I loved the felt flowers and used them to make Felt Flower Ponytail Binders.

I cut a 15x1 inch strip of red felt and made small slits along the entire length.  To shorten this process, I folded the felt strip in half therefore each cut made 2 slits.

Next, I put about 2 inches hot glue at a time along the strip and rolled the felt up.

I cut out a small circle of felt and placed the ponytail binder in the center of the felt roll.  Then, I put glue on either side of the binder and stuck the felt circle on.

The felt circle holds the binder in place.  Flip the flower over and fluff out the "petals".

Crafts for a little girls:  Ribbon Bobby Pins tutorial

All you need:

• About a foot of 1/4 inch ribbon (I had plenty leftover from making my Home Depot bracelet)
• Goody bobby pins (found at Target for about $3)
• E-6000 glue

Step 1: Start at the bottom of the bobby pin and secure the ribbon with a dab of E-6000 glue. Give that a chance to dry.

Step 2: Loop the ribbon back and forth through the top of the bobby pin. You’ll have to use your fingers to pry open the bobby pin while you work. Push the ribbon down as you go to keep it tightly together.

Step 3: When you reach the end, loop the ribbon around and dab with glue. Secure with a regular bobby pin and let dry over night.

See? I need bright things to distract from my crazy hair!

5 Minute Lace Headband

 sewing patterns

This lace headband could NOT be easier. Really! You could do this with any ribbon or lace you have lying around.

All you need:

1. Lace

2. Small Piece of Elastic

3. Needle/thread

And you're good to go. If you don't sew, please dont let this scare you! I'm certain anyone can do this.

Cut a piece of lace just about 1 inch shorter than what would comfortably fit around your head. Then fold up one of the edges a bit

Place your piece of elastic inside 

Then fold the lace around it. 

Sew to keep it in place!

Now measure your head again to make sure this will fit snuggly, but not too snug! Then do the same thing with the other side of the lace. And you're done!  

the blue on my hand is from stamping cards...just ignore it

Now wear it proudly :)
